This policy explains what data PoorHouse Kava Bar ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use our website and services, what we do with it, and how you can control it. We keep it straightforward because you deserve to know what's going on.
What We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account to play games (trivia, bingo, etc.), we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number. You can also play as a guest without creating an account.
Newsletter & Mailing List
If you sign up for our mailing list, we collect your email address, first name, and IP address (for spam prevention).
Ordering
We don't process orders directly on this site. Online ordering is handled by third-party platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Kaja Payments). Those platforms collect your payment and delivery info under their own privacy policies.
Usage Data
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how people use the site — pages visited, time on site, general location (city-level), device type, etc. This data is anonymized and aggregated.
Age Verification
We ask you to confirm you're 21+ when you first visit. We don't store any personal data from this — just a cookie that remembers your answer so you don't get asked every time.
How We Use Your Data
- Run in-venue games and events (trivia, bingo) and track scores/leaderboards
- Send you notifications about upcoming events, promotions, and updates via email and SMS
- Improve site performance and understand what content people care about (analytics)
- Process orders through our third-party ordering platforms
- Respond to your questions or requests
Third-Party Services
We use a few outside services. Here's what each one gets:
GoHighLevel (GHL)
Our CRM and marketing platform. When you register an account or sign up for our mailing list, your name, email, and phone number are synced to GHL so we can send you event reminders, promotions, and game notifications via email and SMS.
Google Analytics (GA4)
Collects anonymized usage data (pages visited, session duration, device info) through cookies. We use this to understand traffic patterns and improve the site. Google's privacy policy applies to the data they process.
Uber Eats / DoorDash
If you order through these platforms, your ordering and payment data is handled entirely by them. We receive order details but not your payment information. Their privacy policies govern your data on their platforms.
Google Fonts / CDN Providers
The site loads fonts and libraries from external CDNs. These services may receive your IP address as part of standard web requests.

SMS & Email Communications
We only contact you if you've opted in — by creating an account with your phone number or signing up for our mailing list.
- SMS: Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Message & data rates may apply.
- Email: Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
- Frequency: Varies — event reminders, promotions, game notifications. We won't spam you.
Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active. You can delete your account from your profile settings, or contact us.
- Newsletter: Retained until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics: Retained per Google's default retention settings (14 months).
- Game data: Scores and participation history retained for leaderboards.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we have about you
- Delete your account and associated data from your profile settings
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Correct any inaccurate information
To exercise any of these rights, email us or visit us in person (details below).
When you delete your account, your profile data, wall posts, badges, loyalty check-ins, and event RSVPs are permanently removed. Game scores and participation records are anonymized to preserve leaderboard integrity but are no longer associated with your identity.
Children's Privacy
This site is for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
